About Me

Joshua Aaron Blanchard

I am husband, father, and teacher. I hold a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen

.

My research focuses on Ethics, Patristic Theology, and Augustinian accounts of selfhood and identity. I teach ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of religion, and the history of Western thought. Particularly, I am interested in how metaethical accounts of personhood inform approaches to ethics and  politics.

In 2017, I received a BS in philosophy from Columbia International University, and in 2021 I earned an MA in philosophy from Biola university

Most importantly, I am  husband to my wife Sydney. We married in  2018; we have three children: Sonya, Augustine, and Isla
